A Shorter Trip to Medical Services
Getting to Fayetteville may not fit easily into your day with work, classes, child care, transportation, and everything else. The medical mobile unit brings Cove Care’s services to two convenient community locations each week.
Appointments take place in a confidential medical setting. Walk-ins are welcome when space is available, but scheduling ahead is the best way to reserve a time.
What Services Are Available?
Pregnancy Testing
The mobile unit provides no-cost, medical-grade urine pregnancy testing after you have missed at least one period.
The test checks for human chorionic gonadotropin, or hCG, a hormone produced by the developing placenta after implantation. A nurse will review the result with you and explain whether retesting or additional medical information may be appropriate.
Ultrasounds
Following a positive pregnancy test, you may qualify for an ultrasound based on your timing and other medical criteria.
The scan may help:
- Estimate how far along the pregnancy is
- Show whether the pregnancy is located inside the uterus
- Detect cardiac activity when visible
An ultrasound is not guaranteed with every positive test. Whether one can be provided depends on medical qualifications, timing, and availability. A doctor reviews the ultrasound findings.

Before You Arrive
Bring a photo ID to your appointment. If you may qualify for an ultrasound, the mobile unit team will explain whether any additional preparation is needed.
Walk-ins may be accommodated when the schedule allows. Calling or texting ahead allows the team to confirm the location, appointment time, and what you will need to bring.
