Appointments are encouraged. Walk-ins may occasionally be accommodated for pregnancy testing, but availability cannot be guaranteed. Ultrasounds and other visits require advance scheduling, although a same-day appointment may sometimes be available.

Is My Appointment Confidential?
Yes. Your appointment, test results, and conversations are confidential within the limits of the law.
What Should I Bring?
Please bring a photo ID. When you schedule, the team will tell you if anything else is needed for your specific appointment.
What Happens at a Pregnancy Testing Appointment?
You’ll meet one-on-one with a patient advocate, and a registered nurse will provide a urine pregnancy test, explain your results, and review your relevant medical history. You’ll also have plenty of time to ask questions about your pregnancy, explore your options, and learn more about the services available to you.
If the result is positive, an ultrasound may be scheduled based on pregnancy timing and medical qualifications.
How Soon Can I Take a Pregnancy Test?
Testing after a missed period generally gives hCG more time to reach a detectable level. Testing too early can produce a negative result even when pregnancy has begun.
If your test is negative but your period does not begin, repeat the test in about one week or contact a medical provider.
Can Cove Care Confirm a Home Pregnancy Test?
Yes. Cove Care provides medical-grade urine pregnancy testing at no cost. A nurse can explain your result and, if it is positive, discuss whether you may qualify for an ultrasound.
Will I Receive an Ultrasound the Same Day?
An ultrasound is not guaranteed at every pregnancy testing appointment. After a positive test, the nurse will determine whether the timing and medical qualifications are appropriate. The ultrasound may need to be scheduled for another day.
Can Cove Care Help Me Learn About My Pregnancy Options?
Yes. You may ask for information about abortion procedures and risks, adoption, and parenting; however, Cove Care does not provide extended OB/GYN or prenatal care, birth control prescriptions or devices, fertility testing, contraceptives, abortion services, or referrals for abortion.
Does Cove Care Provide Abortion Services?

Is Cove Care an Adoption Agency?
No. Cove Care does not arrange adoptions. We can provide information and refer you to a reputable licensed adoption agency.
Does Cove Care Provide Prenatal Care?
No. Cove Care does not provide extended OB/GYN or prenatal care. If you continue the pregnancy, you will need to establish care with a prenatal medical provider.
Can I Bring Someone With Me?
You’re more than welcome to bring anyone who will make you feel more comfortable for your visit. At your visit, you will be brought back first and, if the nurse and patient advocate deem it appropriate, your guest will be invited to join you later on.

What If I Need Emergency Medical Care?
Cove Care is not an emergency medical facility. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for severe pain, heavy bleeding, fainting, difficulty breathing, or another urgent medical concern.
